Insulated Roof Patios

Insulated aluminum patio covers that actually keep the space cool underneath, built by a licensed patio roof contractor.

Insulated aluminum patio roof over an outdoor seating area

Real shade, not hot shade

A thin aluminum pan roof turns into a griddle by noon. An insulated patio roof is different: a foam core laminated between two aluminum skins blocks the heat instead of radiating it down on you. The difference on an August afternoon is not subtle.

Our insulated roof panels span longer distances with fewer posts, carry ceiling fans and lighting, and are engineered for Florida wind loads. Most owners finish them with recessed lights and a fan and treat the space as a true outdoor room.

Built as part of your home

We tie the roof into your existing structure correctly, flash it so it does not leak, and pull the permit. Pair it with screening and you have a shaded, bug-free room. Leave it open and you have a covered outdoor kitchen or a dry place for the truck bed toolbox.

Common questions

How much cooler is an insulated patio roof?

The foam core blocks radiant heat, so the space under it stays close to shade temperature instead of cooking like it would under a single-skin pan roof. It is the difference between using the patio in summer and avoiding it.

Can I hang a ceiling fan from an insulated roof?

Yes. Insulated panels take fans and lights with the right blocking, and we plan those locations before the panels go up.

Insulated roof or pergola, which should I pick?

An insulated roof gives you full rain protection and the coolest shade. A pergola gives you filtered light and a more open look. It comes down to how you want to use the space, and we are happy to walk both options at the quote.

Do insulated patio roofs leak?

Not when they are flashed and pitched correctly, which is the part DIY kits usually get wrong. Ours are installed with proper flashing, fastener schedules, and gutters where the water should go.
