A noise reduction system in a Detroit commercial facility, built with insulated metal panels to bring engine room noise down to workable levels.
The problem
The facility's engine room was loud enough to affect the workspace around it. Untreated machine noise is not just unpleasant; it drags on communication, concentration, and hearing safety compliance across every shift.
What we built
A high-performance noise reduction system using insulated metal panels. The same core construction that gives IMPs their thermal value also absorbs sound energy, so a properly detailed panel enclosure does double duty: it contains the noise at its source and insulates the space it wraps.
The system was engineered around the equipment it encloses, with access and ventilation maintained, and built durable enough to live next to running machinery for the long haul. The facility got a quieter floor and a cleaner-looking enclosure in one installation.
